Different, see below. HPV is a small DNA virus, the cause for cervical and anus cancers. HIV is a large retrovirus virus, the cause for AIDS and AIDS defining cancers. Too complex. This is not something which can easily be described for either virus in the space allotted here. They are completely different in structure. Far more appears to be known about the molecular structure of HIV which is called a retrovirus, but its composition and the enzymes necessary for its function are much too complicated to go into here.
