Not sure. Women tend to present with atypical symptoms, present later, and have chest pains with normal coronaries. ? If its a hormonally related issu or that women have smaller vessels. Women tend to have more vasospasm as well. Broken heart syndrome also occurs much more often in women.They tend to have more rheumatologic issues that involve the heart. Clearly heart disease in women is not same as men.
