In brief: Probably not
Usually it's floaters or migraine.
Or macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy etc. Or a stroke. The list is endless. If it's recent, go to ophthalmologist promptly.

If you are having multiple floaters and/or flashes of light you should see your ophthalmologist. If you see a shade or curtain obscuring your vision, you should see your ophthalmologist immediately to rule out a retina detachment.

In brief: Unlikely
Floaters are most commonly a localized eye problem but a good eye exam shoud be reassuring.
