In brief: Graves treatment

The treatment of graves disease includes medications, radioactive iodine, or surgery.
All are acceptable forms of treatment you should see an endocrinologist to help guide you and determine whether you really are resistant. Also, consider radioactive iodine as an alternative to surgery. If you decide on surgery, it should be done by an experienced thyroid surgeon, not just any general surgeon.

In brief: Surgery hyperthyroid

That T4 is high but with steroids and beta blockers, your surgery could be done, albeit with minimal increased risk of thyroid storm.
