No. Oral Aspirin will not shrink hemorrhoids which are due to dialated blood vessels. It may help with the discomfort, however.
No. Aspirin has not been shown to shrink hemorrhoids, but can increase bleeding.
I think I have an external hemorrhoid but it doesn't hurt much. How do I prevent it from becoming thrombosed though? Can I take aspirin? (on my period)
Not much. Symptomatic external hemorrhoids are large and very painful, occasional bleeding; the pain will be so intense that you may have to see a surgeon or go to the ER. If it doesn't hurt much avoid constipation by eating more fiber and drinking plenty of water, do warm sits bath 3 times a day follow by hemorrhoid cream after each bath and after each BM. Avoid hot spicy foods too.
