In brief: Diet and Cancer

Looking for the magic bullet.
Well there are several things you can do: do not smoke or chew tobacco, drink alcohol in moderation, exercise regularly, maintain a weight in "healthy" range(which basically means don't get fat).Food wise: less fat is better, dark chocolate, spinach, walnuts, salmon, oats...And on and on.Don't forget protein.Everything in moderation is a good standard to live by.

In brief: Balanced diet.

A great way to avoid cancer is by not smoking, and not drinking alcohol in excess.
Although nothing is 100%, these 2 things plus avoiding long exposure to dangerous chemicals, etc. Can really help avoid many cancers. A balanced diet is also excellent to avoid cancer. Eating fruits and vegetables really helps avoid GI cancers, especially colon. They also have lots of vitamins that fight cancer.

In brief: Moderation

Of course, diet is only one variable in preventing cancer, but a very important one.
Fiber, antioxidants, and lots of fluids is a good baseline; avoiding being overweight is important too. If at least 2/3 of your diet is coming from a variety of vegetables and fruits you are probably eating pretty healthy.
