I suffer from conjunctivitis, would it be safe to still wear my contact lenses?

No. Do not wear your contacts unless it is specifically approved by your ophthalmologist.
Not a good idea. If you have been diagnosed with conjunctivitis, the first thing to do is to discontinue the contacts, which can make your situation worse. Your eye md should be instructing you on how to treat your infection, whether it's viral, contact lens related, bacterial, allergic, or other.
