I recently had blood work done and my iron was low (37). Everything else is normal. Should i be concerned? What could cause it to be low?

In brief: Menstral periods

Women lose blood and iron with their menstrual periods, or donating blood.
You need to eat iron rich foods such as green leafy vegetables or take an iron supplement.
