Protected sex with csw legal brothel, oral thrush after two weeks got tested for all stds hiv at 3 week and again 4 week all negative, causes? Stress

Probably no worries. First, confirm the diagnosis. Most white spots in the mouth and throat are not yeast infection (thrush). Second, even if that's what you have, most cases are in entirely healthy people without HIV or other health problems. Discuss with your doctor. HIV test is conclusive at 4 weeks if it's a 4th generation (antigen-antibody) test. Gone/chlamydia conclusive after 3-4 days. 6 weeks for syphilis test. Read more...

Protected sex with csw, gp says oral thrush on tongue, gave losenges, got tested for all stds hiv at 3 week and again 4 week all negative, causes?

Just thrush? It sounds like your gp did the right thing by testing for STDs. Other possible causes include lowered immune status(e.g. diabetes, leukemia, or certain medications and may sometimes just occur because of recent antibiotic use. Read more...

I am a man and I have what looks like oral thrush, but have tested neg for all STDs and have not had unprotected sex. How could I have caught this?

Thrush is common. Thrush is not necessarily an std. Thrush develops when the opportunity presents for a compromised immune system. Many patients who use inhalers that contain steroids are at risk, particularly if some of those steroids are deposited in the oral cavity. Patients on broad-spectrum antibiotics, who take steroids for any inflammatory condition, and those who are fighting a systemic disease get thrush. Read more...

I was cleared for bv, thrush and all STI'S/STD'S but still have a fishy odour which was believed to be bv. What else can be causin the fishy odour?

Were you treated? I am not clear into what it means cleared from STD's. Do you mean you were treated or that there tests were negative? In any case BV is not necessarily an STD. Usually causes a fishy odor. If you were treated it might be that the antibiotics used did not work so you might need alternative. If you have not been treated then make sure you get seen. Culture needed. If all results from genital culture are negative and you have been evaluated by a GYN specialist, then try healthy lifestyle changes that will enhance your immune system. Avoid smoking and other substance use, adopt healthy diet and regular exercise, vitamin/mineral supplements may help if your diet is not rich in fresh fruits and vegetable. Sometimes hormonal tests may be necessary. . Read more...
Treatment. You may need to be treated or retreated for BV. BV is not an infection, it is an imbalance in the bacterial flora of the vagina. Antibiotics suppress the abnormal bacteria, but you also have to restore the normal. Taking probiotics, like eating yogurt, can restore the normal bacteria. Do not douche! It will actually make things worse. . Read more...

Chronic fever, thrush for 5 months these were started 1 week after sex with unknown, hiv, STD all neg; what can causes these symptoms? Plz advise?

See ID doctor. This sounds as if there is compromise of the immune system. Don't know how you were tested and when, in relation to your symptoms. This complex picture is the provenance of an infectious diseases specialist, and if we knew where you lived it might be possible to recommend one or more. Call your local medical society or hospital and ask for an ID doctor. Good luck. Read more...

Can herpes cause balanitis for over 3 weeks? I tested negative for all stds and wa s just wondering. Maybe I have a yeast infection from my girlfriend b/c she had thrush with no pain. I've noticed that I had a redness around forskin like ring shaped

Not herpes. No herpes outbreak is likely to last 3 weeks, it's an uncommon cause of balanitis. If herpes were the cause, it would be in the form of open sores, generally very painful. Yeast indeed can cause balanitis. Maybe share your gf's anti-yeast cream (or buy clotrimazole cream over the counter). Also retract foreskin and wash w/ soap and water 2-3 times a day. See a doctor if these don't help. Read more...

Gave oral 2 days ago. White stuff on tonsils & lymph nodes are swollen, had a slight fever, No pain eating, no trouble breathing, no fever, std? Thrush?

Possible. If the white stuff is only on your tonsils and your mouth looks and feels normal, it isn't likely to be thrush but an STD is definitely possible. To know for sure requires testing and the doctor needs to know that an STD is a possibility since the cultures done for STDs are different from those usually done for sore throats. Get tested today since there can be serious complications if untreated. Read more...
