I'm curious as to what allergy medication would work best?

In brief: Nasal spray

The best medical regimen for treating allergies would be a combination of a nasal steroid and a nasal antihistamine.

In brief: Allergy meds

It depends on which allergic diseases you try to treat.
In general, all OTC medications work pretty much the same except for the newly approved OTC intra nasal steroid nose spray for hay fever, which works better. When OTC meds does not take care of your symptoms, it would be best if you see an allergist.
