30 pack history, age 50-74 have the greatest risk for lung cancer. Mean age for diagnosis is 71. Not smoking for over 15 year greatly decrease your chances for lung cancer. Great for you for quiting smoking, I am proud of you. . Be a beacon for other who are smoker and help them with your example.

In brief: Not zero
Chances are higher than the general population.
If an individual has smoked > 100 cigarretes in their lifetime (over 5 packs) then their risk of developing lung cancer has increased. However, the longer the time they have been off cigarettes, the more their risk decreases.
