Taking around 3600 mg ibuprofen and 8 naproxen sodium a day for 4 days for pain. What are the risks with this?

NSAID. These meds are similar and do the same thing. The problem is that they may irritate the lining of the stomach and cause a gastritis, burned stomach. If you take too much it could affect your blood pressure or kidneys. These meds can affect the blood clotting. Get checked to find out why you have the pain and what to do about it.
Acute kidney failure. And a stomach or intestinal ulcer if taken long term. Ibuprofen and Naproxen are both in the same drug class called nsaids and you should never take these at the same time (take the recommended dose of one or the other). Max daily dose of Naproxen is 500mg twice per day. You are overdosing. You should follow the instructions on the label or from your doctor-never just take more. Very dangerous!
