In brief: Freezing over cuttin
I would recommend freezing with liquid nitrogen.
In that case they get red and inflammed that day, then turn black before they fall off 2 weeks later. The advantage with this over numbing and cutting them off with scissors is that there is no open wound that needs to be bandaged and less chance of infection.

In brief: Freezing or snipping
Freezing is great because there is no open wound that you have to take care of or which can cause an infection, the negative is that it takes 2-4 weeks to fall off.
If you are patient that is the best way. If you wan them off quickly you can have them injected with numbing medication and then snipped or cut off.

In brief: See derm
They can freeze the skin tags off or cut them off.
Skin tags are caused by irritation, that is why you get them under your arm. Some would tie it off with cotton thread.Takes about a week and should have no pain as there are no nerves in the tags.
