I can always crack my ankles and wrists. It never hurts, just sounds like a popping sound then i rotate them. What causes this?

In brief: Crack ankle

This is usually a tendon sort of snapping in and out of the groove in which they travel.
Unless they slip out of the groove and do not slip back there is no problem with this. At the ankle forced dorsiflexion and eversion causes the popping sound

In brief: Hypermobile joints

It is likely hypermobile joints.
Can be other things. I would not do this often, as it could lead to arthritis.
