Sore throat, ear congestion, and when I yawn my ears kind of hurt. What may cause it?

URI. Probably upper respiratory infection, usually viral in nature, try taking a decongestant, but if fever, pus spots, etc., see a doctor to see if you need antibiotics - most are viral infections and will need to take their time to go away and antibiotics can't kill viruses.
