In brief: Pedicures

I have always warned my patients about pedicures and the spread of certain diseases such as fungus, hepatitis and TB.
Before having a pedicure, make sure the place looks clean. See if they sterilize their instruments; check their health record on line; Make sure they sterilize their instruments, use new files between clients and use a plastic insert in the foot basin.

Many of my patients are now bringing their own instruments so they can sterilize them themselves. Dr Rich Blake

In brief: Possibly

If the instruments used were not properly sterilized or the foot bath used was not properly disinfected.

In brief: Yes

Certainly possible.
Try and bring your own instruments, stay away from the soaking unless they use individual liners, and use your polish not the same one that ey used on twenty other people.
