It's normal physiology for BP to rise as part of our "fight or flight" response.
This is normal, healthy, and desirable. BP medicines won't prevent it. There's no reason to take extra medicine before a doctor visit to "fool" the BP cuff. Just measure your BP at home and bring in a diary of bps. If you're concerned, bring your device in and compare results with the doctor's simultaneously.
