Is it always a problem for an asthmatic to have beta blockers before a CT cardiac scan to slow heart rate? Thank you

In brief: Not always

It depends on how reactive or brochospastic your airways are.
This is highly variable. Some people tolerate beta blockers well, especially the selective (beta 1) blockers. Other people are exquisitely sensitive. Also it depends on how long it's been since you've had an asthma attack. If you had one yesterday, even if you feel well now, you're not back to nl yet. If you've been well, you're prob ok.
