Unless one shares intimate apparel like underwear (hopefully not), then it's ok to go to school- just ensure that you observe excellent hygiene and wash your hands! (addendum- i'd avoid direct person-to-person contact in situations like gym class, if that is a required activity in your school).

Probably should not participate in gym class especially if there is frequent body contact or infected site rubs the mats. Couch might have to bleach all the mats.

Fomite transmission is not common- however, direct person-to-person contact is. Good point- gym class is a required thing in many schools.
