Toxic shock syndrome. Fever >102 f, vomiting and/or diarrhea, rash like sunburn with peeling skin, especially on the palms and soles, dizziness or mental confusion, pale and clammy skin as a result of quick fall in blood pressure if left untreated at this stage, it will lead to loss of consciousness, cardiac and respiratory failure, and death.
