Balanced diet meaning cut back a lot on all kinds of meat, prefer fish & lean poultry for all meats, predominantly eat fresh fruits & vegetables, increase whole grain (not processed or white grain) consumption, reduce fats and oils a lot, reduce salt, reduce sugar & processed foods, cut out fast food, drink more water. And exercise daily (even a little bit). Finally, no smoking.
