Hi. Usually once you have a goiter, it's there to stay.
However, if the goiter is due to Graves' disease and you get treated with radioactive iodine, that'll using shrink the goiter. Hashimoto's goiters and non-toxic nodular goiters usually stay as-is. Nodular goiters need to be considered for possibility of thyroid cancer.
