In brief: Trapezius muscle pai

Trapezius muscle pain with spasm. Are you sleeping on only one side? Do you do a repetitive job? You need a mild muscle relaxant and a good massage.
Physical therapy will help you strengthen the muscles that are weak. Warm compresses and stretching will help as well. Good luck! feel better.

Try a NSAID for a couple of weeks, P.T. etc if it continues see an ORS for evaluation for other causes of neck/ trapezial pain esp. w/ head turning. Cervical disc problems can cause similar symptoms.
