What's wrong with my ears? They stick out too much.

Ear not fully shaped. Prominent ears protrude due to 2 main issues. The top of the ear lacks an "antihelical fold" which is the curved cartilage paralleling the upper rim of the ear. The bottom of the ear can protrude, because the "bowl" of the ear" just before the ear canal, is overly large. Otoplasty is a cosmetic ear surgery for prominent/protruding ears to "reshape" and "pin" the ears back.
Otoplasty surgery. This is usually caused by ear cartilage that didn't fully form. Otoplasty is a straight forward operation that is very effective in improving prominent ears. It can be done in an adult under local anesthesia with few risks. See a facial plastic surgeon for more details.
