Inddor situations have less light and any tint will diminish that light input.
You might, depending upon your lifestyle and image projection, want a cosmetic tint with little change in the light input but of course that tint will remain for all circumstances in which you wear that eyeglass. But there is some advantage to using tint to be "cool".
