1 doctor agrees
In brief: Cervical spondylosis
Many causes: a) peripheral neuropathies produced by diabetes b) toxic neuropathies produces by chemotherapeutic agents; c) arthritis of the neck producing compressions of the nerve roots; d) hyperventilation and anxiety.
It can be a benign symptom but i would recommend to see a neurologist to exclude common causes of neuropathy or neck pathology.

In brief: Many things
Numbness and tingling in arms/hands can be due to nerve irritation in your neck, diabetes, nerve injury to brachial plexus, carpal tunnel syndrome, spinal cord tumor, chiari malformation, spinal cord injury or infection around spinal cord.
Some electrolyte problems and hyperventilation can cause some arm/hand tingling. You can visit with someone for general medical exam then get head/cervical mri.
