Currently taking pristiq (desvenlafaxine) 50mg with Vyvanse 40mg as needed. Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) effective for depression but Vyvanse makes symptoms worse. Switch to strattera?

In brief: Yes.

Stimulants are used to augment antidepressants but there are other stimulants that can be used and yes, you may try strattera (atomoxetine) but this is more trial and error. Drinking doesn't help , though.

In brief: That is best

Discussed with the doctor who's been following you.
Strattera may not be as effective as the vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) has been -- at least for adhd, anyway.
