In brief: No.

Migraine-specific medications are designed to work for migraine headaches.
Depending on the medication, they may provide little or no relief for other forms of headache and instead, only expose the patient to unnecessary side effects or complications. Check with the physician that manages your headaches as to his/her advice for treating common cephalgias.

Although Migraine-specific meds may help a number of non-migraine type headaches they are akin to using a sledge hammer as a fly-swatter. If your headaches are frequent, they may actually be migraines but you need to be on preventive medication as a first-line treatment.

In brief: Depends

Depends on the specific medication.
I would avoid taking triptans more than once or twice a week.

In brief: Depends

As was said frequent use of triptans is a bad idea.
In general i would state that use of medications to treat migraines should not be used except for migraines.
