Is passive aggressive behavior associated with any psychiatric disorders? Also, is such behavior associated with any long term health risks?

Personality disorder. Passive aggressive behavior is characteristic of the passive-aggressive personality disorder, and consists in the display of a pattern of conducts to express hostility, by procrastinating, forgetting or delaying tasks, or being inefficient, and resisting to demands imposed on the person, and for which is responsible. It manifests more clearly in the educational, occupational and relational areas.
Good question. In dsm-iv it was personality disorder unless part of maj depression or dysthymia. Millon divides it into 4 types. Vacillating, discontented, circuitous ; abrasive when part of other troubled personalities. It is a style, not a disease. Long-term health risks would seem to be difficulty utilizing medical care well in addition to poor relationships with most other people.
