I've had a really bad cough and it has hoarsened up my voice. Any suggestions for treatment?

In brief: See doctor...

A cough that is present for 3 weeks more can be due to different etiologies including bronchospasm (from any cause), gerd, post-nasal drip or a combination of factors.
If the cough is present for less than that, it is usually due to acute bronchitis (bacterial or viral!). If the cough is making you hoarse, you should see your doc for diagnosis and treatment.
