I have flat feet. Does it affect how fast you can run, either acceleration or max speed?

In brief: Flat feet

Your speed and acceleration depend much more on the amount of fast twitch, compared to slow twitch muscle, as well as your strength and conditioning.

In brief: A little

If you've been flat-footed since you were young, then there is much less of an effect.
Overall you are biomechanically at a disadvantage compared to someone that is not flat-footed. However, since there are so many factors involved in your running abilities, you shouldn't let being flat-footed deter you in any way. There are plenty of extremely fast flat-footed athletes!
