On clindamycin 300 mg every 8 hrs for abscess tooth and face swelling for two days and now have a really sore throat on side of abscess?! normal?!?

Absolutely NOT. Though Clindamycin can help with acute infection, it takes time. Increased swelling is an immediate health risk--especially if causing difficulty swallowing or soreness in the throat. Sore throat could be swollen lymph nodes, but could also indicate a spread of the infection. Recommend you seek immediate attention with your dentist or emergency room if s/he is unavailable.
