Decongestants. Promoting drainage from an obstructed sinus outlet is one major factor, along with antibiotics. This can be helped along by irrigation with saline/bicarb solutions, nasal steroids, oral decongestants (pseudoephedrine), and other similar products. Use of a mild painkiller like aspirin, tylenol (acetaminophen) or other n0n-steroidal anti-inflammatories may also help.
This last wk, I have had ear pressure, post nasal drip & feel a constant head rush feeling, but do not have a stuffy nose. Is this a sinus issue?
Had hysterectomy 11 weeks ago. Kept ovaries. Have constant head aches, ear pressure for weeks. Had bloodworK, head MRI, ENT appt. All normal. Any ideas?
Continue evaluation. A hysterectomy should not cause the symptoms that you mention. It sounds like you are already seeing an ENT and have had a fairly extensive work up. A neurologist may be the next best step in your evaluation. The ENT you are seeing who had more info than us may also be able to suggest the next steps in your work up. Read more...
Headache on the top of my head for 3 days in a row. Now, top of my mouth and top row of teeth ache. Dr said I have ear pressure. Top of head is tender?
Muscle pain. Could be a trigger point(point of muscle that is tighten up) in your neck/ shoulder area referring pain to the top of your head. Take your hand and press hard all along the trapezius muscle(top of your shoulders and neck) and then up the back of your neck. Also press on your sternocleidomastoid muscle(runs from behind jaw down side of neck). See if sends any pain to top of head.mayfindsourcepain. Read more...
