In brief: Immune deficiencies
The most common reason to be evaluated for an immune deficiency is frequent and /or unusual infections.
For instance- recurrent sino- pulmonary infections might be attributable to a b cell defect. Various neisserial infections might be due to a complement deficiency. And of course various viral or fungal infections could be due to a t cell defect.
