W/o drugs: drink lots of fluids and get plenty of sleep.
A cold due to a virus must run it's natural course, of ~3-5 days of symptoms. Otherwise: take antihistamines to dry up the runny nose; decongestants to clear the "stuffed up head"; nsaids or tylenol (acetaminophen) to break a fever and expectorants to help clear the mucous. All these drugs treat the symptoms, not the virus, so they may make it last longer!
