In brief: Rare

Titanium allergy is rare.
Usually other metals cause these implant allergies. If you have redness and pain starting several weeks after an implant see your dentist or surgeon and seek their cooperation with an allergist to best diagnose and treat this situation.

Agree totally, Ti allergy quite rare. But respectfully submitted, redness and pain is mostlikely the result of the surgery--EVERY implant procedure is not just "drilling a hole"! Most are more involved with flaps, grafting, membranes, etc, all which cause symptoms. Allergy testing for every implant pt who experienced pain and redness at such an early stage would have an astoundingly low yield.
