Will bacterial vaginosis harm unborn baby?

Unlikely to happen. Baby is tucked away in a well protected compartment (bag of waters) in the womb. The vaginosis is unlikely to cause any problems for baby. It would not be a good idea to let it go untreated until delivery.

BV. If this is diagnosed by your doctor they should be treating this. But, most self diagnosed cases of BV are incorrect. Pregnancy produces hormones that increase swelling of the vagina and increase mucous production. This can mimic BV thus the high level of incorrect self diagnosis.
