My T3 (liothyronine) is low but T4 and TSH are normal, but I already have my gland enlarged, and can feel it, I'm on food supplements, can this stop growth?

Thyroid problem. This is not normal, and if your thyroid gland is enlarged you need specialty care and careful diagnosis. If T4 is high and t3 (liothyronine) is low then you many not be converting T4 to the biologically active t3 (liothyronine).

High tsh- 5.5. Normal free T3 (liothyronine) & t4. Also normal total t3& t4. What causes this? Pituitary gland issue not thyroid?

May be normal. All lab results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Your TSH is at the upper end of normal and may be normal for you. You may discuss the issue of repeating the test in a year or so. Read more...

Low total t3 (liothyronine) 46 and low range TSH and T4? Hypothyroidism? Would it be treated with supplement?

Low tsh. If you only needed thyroid supplement, your tsh would be elevated. Since your tsh is not elevated and your thyroid hormones are low, there could be a problem with your pituitary gland. An endocrinologist is best qualified to evaluate, advise and treat you and more than thyroid supplement may be needed. Appropriate tests will be ordered. Read more...

Why TSH is higher at morning? Is it because thyroid gland is less responsive when you wake up? Does that mean T4 and T3 (liothyronine) gets also higher at morning?

TSH. Sorry, but I don't fully understand your question. TSH, T4, and T3 (liothyronine) should always be measured on the same blood draw. TSH is higher if the thyroid is not working properly and a high T4 and/or T3 (liothyronine) would decrease TSH levels. Read more...

Would standard process adrenal supplements (drenatrophin pmg and adrenal desiccated) affect labs – cmp, tsh, free t3, (liothyronine) free t4?

Adrenal supplements. 46F asks about lab effects of adrenal supplements on CMP,TSH,FT3 and Free T4. This has likely never been studied as there is no regulation of adrenal supplements & makers can put anything in them until a bunch gets sick & reported to FDA. I would avoid these unless you need to waste money. I would also avoid a Dr who prescribes them. But need more information. Consult with me. Read more...
