Could whiplash type dance injury to neck cause eye floaters 10 months later? Dilated eye exam determined no retinal tear, no problems but floaters.

In brief: also

You might consider seeing a neurologist for other causes, such as delayed vascular injury in your neck or a traumatic aneurysm or fistula.

I would recommend a dilated exam by a retinal specialist to rule out breaks in the peripheral retina, however, you most likely would have the floaters whether or not you experienced the dance injury. Please see a retinal specialist in your area for confirmation.

In brief: Possible

Any sudden jerking movement of the vitreous jelly can loosen it up and cause floaters.
