A pulled trapezius muscle often refers pain to the side of the neck, over the eye and to the jaw. This is where a small zone of hypersensitivity within the muscle (trapezius) known as a trigger point when activated produce pain in another part of the body (jaw). Relief for jaw pain can be gained by icing the trapezius. Find a dentist or oral surgeon who has knowledge about trigger point therapy.
