You need a physical. This is probably benign positional vertigo or labrynthitis. If it is worsened with certain positions, likely BPV. You are young (33) for heart disease, but could have any number of things that could be causing this. Just because nothing was found with your heart 3 years ago doesn't mean that you have no problem now. And the gastritis could be causing this. Very unlikely. Typical carotid disease causes stroke or mini stroke with loss of sensory/motor function of one side of the body, speech problem, facial muscle dysfunction . In extreme cases where you have severe stenosis or complete occlusion of both carotids and with occasional hypotension then you could experience dizziness ..
