If you have a documented ulcer your doctor should have given you treatment.
The most appropriate treatment is eliminating the cause (h.Pylori or nsaids most common) and taking an acid blocking medication such as prilosec, prevacid, (lansoprazole) etc. Or generic equivalents. Most ulcers should heal in 6-8 weeks of treatment. Vomiting, wt loss, bleeding or sever pain should be evaluated further.
