I am breastfeeding and think I have a sinus infection. Can I take mucus dm?

May decrease milk. While it is safe to take that medication, just like it can dry up the mucous in your nose, it can dry up your milk production as well. I recommend local/topical treatment like a nasal spray such as afrin, humidity, nasal saline drops, or warm/steamy beverages such as teas. Also make sure to get plenty of fluids yourself - both to keep mucous thin and ensure your milk supply.

Yes, . Yes, I do think you should have this medically evaluated. You may have a worsening infection. I would advise being re-evaluated by your dotor. If you have pain, vomiting, redness, fever or red streaks then you must be seen as an emergency. Read more...
