I would exercise more caution, particularly if you have been prescribed opiate-containing medication after the dental surgery, since the combination of opiates and alcohol is not a good one. Alcohol, especially in excess, has the potential to both increase bleeding and decrease healing as well. One or two beers, is unlikely to cause any harm, but larger amounts (like getting drunk) might.
