In brief: Facelift Frequency
Depends on the depth and extent of the original facelift.
Simpler procedures may only provide 5-10 yrs of rejuvenation while a more extensive deep plane facelift can produce results that will last 15yrs.

In brief: Facelift results
Results from a full facelift typically last 10-15 years.
The frequency with which you can have repeat surgery depends on both your skin and your overall health.

In brief: Facelift #'s
Heredity, condition of skin ,diet, physical activity, smoking and sun exposure all contribute to how long a facelift lasts.
A younger patient will generally find the results last longer than waiting till they are in their 60's. As one ages, often facelifts are performed with fat transfer or other volumizing procedures. This helps to avoid a stretched look. There is no limit to how many lifts.

Be cautious of too much surgery with all due respect to plastic surgeons. Have great respect for plastic surgeons, but some people will not know when to stop and potentially detract from natural looks. I believe most surgeons screen re major cosmetic surgery for psych history. Just make sure your expectations are realistic and then go for it.

A good facelift result should last 8 - 10 years. Most people only need 1 or 2!

In brief: Older advice 10 yrs
When i first went into practice, it was thought that a touch-up procedure on a face lift was necessary every 10-15 years.
Since that time, the entire concept of aging and aesthetic treatment has changed. With proper skin care, judicious use of neurotoxins, fillers, lasers and peels a person should only have to go through one face lift and perhaps a single touch-up.

In brief: A better question...
When a face lift is well performed, there are no limitations on the number of procedures that you can have in a lifetime.
Perhaps a better question is how often might you need a facelift? A recent study showed that having a facelift at a younger age when tissues are healthy and elastic results in a longer lasting and more satisfying experience. Something to consider.

In brief: As often as you wish
But remember that most facelifts elevate the facial tissues vertically with some component of rearward direction.
If this operation is done too many times, the "wind tunnel" face may result. Most good facelifts will last 5-10 years, no matter what the technique. Longevity depends on the patient, his/her skin quality, age, and luck. Don't be in too much of a hurry to repeat this operation.

A facelift can be refreshed as often as needed.
In my practice generally 10-15 yrs later many desire to restore their youthful looks.

In brief: Facelift- how often?
There is no set number to how many or how often one can have a facelift.
It is certainly not uncommon for people to have a facelift and then have another one as the aging process continues.

In brief: Repeat facelifts.
It depends on the extent of the original facelift.
Current short scar techniques typically provide results lasting 8-10 years whereas more extensive facelifts may last 10-15 years. With increasing use of non-surgical techniques the second procedures can be delayed and often are not as extensive as the original procedure. Some have undergone 3 procedures with accpetable results, more than that ?

In brief: Depends
If you had a mini lift, then repeat procedures are fine.
More extensive facelifts need less repeating. Remember, even 10 years after a facelift you will still look better than if you had never done it. Also, be careful after 2-3 lifts or you may become unnatural looking. See an experienced surgeon who leans to natural appearance to avoid looking overdone!

In brief: Well,....
You can have one as often as you wish, but that is not a good idea.
A well performed facelift (any technique) should last 5-10 years. This varies enormously in individual patients depending on patient age, skin quality, sun damage, smoking history, and luck.

In brief: Frequency
Every patient ages differently.
I think that stress is the major factor that accelerates our aging process. A facelift should last about 6-10 years depending on your level of stress. Consult with your facial plastic specialist. Hope this helps

In brief: No Steadfast Rule
How often one can have a facelift actually varies from person to person, and depend on a number of factors.
There is no steadfast rule. You can find more information about facelifts here: http://www.Facialplastics.Info/facelift.Html.

In brief: Repeat facelift?
A well done facelift should give good long lasting results.
Facelift results should be "permanent", but the aging process continues. Many patients start to notice continued aging which may warrant intervention after 8-10 years. I have found that secondary lifts can be delayed or deferred by volumizing treatments like sculptra and/or tightening treatments like ulthera.

In brief: Depends!
I'm sure you can find surgeons who will perform facelifts as often as you desire.
That does not mean it is a good idea! a good facelift should last 5-10 years depending on your age, sun exposure, smoking history, skin quality, and luck. Wtih some techniques, the results appear more artificial and bizarre with 3 or more facelifts. Other techniques minimize this problem.
