All four of my first molars are infected, two have mercury fillings. I want to get all the four teeth extracted and the metal removed. Which modern dentures are best for me?

In brief: Implants

Assuming your teeth cannot be saved which is your best option, then dental implants are the best means of replacing your missing teeth.

Root canals, followed by posts and crowns would be the first choice. Unless the teeth are beyond salvaging this is a better option, with implants being the second choice.

What is meant by infected. Infected because of dental decay that is causing root canal problems or infected because of periodontal disease which may have compromised a lot of bone. Your are better off trying to save your own teeth. If not then dental implants

In brief: Consult

No dentures or even implant supported prostheses are 'best' for you.
Healthy natural teeth are best. What is the next best for you can only be determined after a complete set of x-rays, a thorough one-on-one clinical exam and a consult with the best general dentist or prosthodontist you can find. Make sure you fully understand your options prior to making any decisions. Get a 2nd opinion as well.

In brief: Need exam

Firstly, the silver fillings are not the cause of your infections.
Secondly, are the teeth restorable? Thirdly, what is the condition of the remaining teeth? Lots of questions, all to be answered by your local dentist. Please call for an appointment.

In brief: Dental implants

If there is enough bone remaining then 4 single implants placed in those locations, with 4 single crowns , is the best long term treatment.
See a prosthodontist for guidance, treatment and referrals before having the teeth removed.
