Would an infection of mastoid/ temperol bone-posterior show on a CT scan of the head? Is it possible to mistake it for an old infarction?

In brief: Mastoiditis

Yes, ct head would show an infection of the mastoid and temporal bone.
It is not possible to mistake this for an old infarction of the brain . The two are completely different on imaging.
