In brief: Very healthy,however

In moderation sunflower seeds are very health, in fact the world's healthiest foods website lists them- see http://www.
Whfoods.Com/genpage.Php?Tname=foodspice;dbid=57 they are a good source of vit e, magnesium, selenium, b1, b6 etc. And lower cholesterol. Like all nuts and seeds they are relatively high in calories due to (healthy) fat content but are safe in moderation. See comment:.

I found one article discussing the potential hazards of sunflower seeds; they mentioned if they are salted the excess salt could be hazardous, but most of the objections were a far reach & had to do with the hazards of eating the shells, not the seeds! (see http://www.ehealthstar.com/can-eating-sunflower-seeds-be-bad-for-you.php). I believe sunflower seeds are very healthy;raw ones are healthiest!
