I've been on trisprintec (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol) for 6 days &I had unprotected sex on Day 5. He pulled out but I'm paranoid. Can I use trisprintec (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol) as an ec? What should I do?

If you have been on. the sprintec consistent for months prior then you should be covered. But if you just started the Sprintec then you should just utilize emergency contraception(levonorgestrel - Plan B). There are ways to take mulitple Tri-sprintec tablets but this is off label use, not as effective with more side effects(also more complicated due to variable dosages of your OCB tablets). Do I still have to wait a week before having unprotected sex when switching from trisprintec (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol) to sprintec?

No. If the switch was made with no missed days/doses in between, then there should be no period of increased fertility after the switch. With a switch from triphasic to monophasic (Tri-Sprintec to Sprintec), no matter what phase you make the switch in your progestin dose is either not changing or going up a bit, and the estrogen dose doesn't change at all. This should not cause/permit ovulation. Read more...
