In brief: Numb Scars

Sensation around scars tends to improve but may not return to normal.
This may take upwards of two years to determine the final return of sensation. However, if nerves are transected, the numbness could be permanent.

In brief: Depends.Recent scar

The scar could be definrd as an interruption of normal tissues in the process of healing.
Like any other tissue the nerve is also interrpted at the site of scar. So, initially at the site of scar there ma y not be any feeling to some feeling depending on the time and the alignment of the cut superficial sensory nerve. The feeling at the scar will never be 100%.But there will be some prtective sen.

In brief: Scar Numbness

It is normal to have diminished sensation on scars.
This may be temporary or permanent depending on your bodies ability to grow nerves back into the area affected.

In brief: Probably.

It depends where on your body you are having surgery, but some sensory changes are common after surgery.
Most will usually resolve and return to normal or almost normal. Exceptions may be a tummy tuck where in certain techniques the lower tummy may remain numb.
